Job description:

D.L. Walker Inc. is a commercial food equipment service in Lansing, MI. Our technician's repair kitchen equipment in restaurants, schools, grocery stores, and other commercial businesses.

D.L. Walker is searching for an experienced Refrigeration service technician to be able to provide onsite repair for equipment like dishwashers, ovens, mixers, saws, grinders and other food equipment. We also do the Refrigeration side. The technician will work with customers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair.

Skills:

Highly reliable

Mechanical - basic knowledge and skill

Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems and equipment

Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)

Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail

Ability to work flexible hours and work well under pressure

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

Able to work while walking/standing for long periods of time

Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace

Read and troubleshoot volt meter

Read Schematics

Qualifications:

· Automotive Mechanical experience preferred.

· Some plumbing and electrical experience preferred.

· Welding experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting 50-75 lbs. with or without assistance

Climbing with ladder

Occasional roof access may be necessary

Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
