Job Title: Machine Operator ($18/hr.)Job Description
Employees receive a few dollar an hour increase once join the union.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate metal forming equipment.
Utilize tools and follow work instructions.
Operate cutback saw and perform change overs for shear dies.
Operate stamping presses.
Perform visual and quality inspections using calipers and micrometers.
Perform basic math and use a tape measure for quality checks.
Lift up to 50 lbs and assist material handler with coils and steel.
Complete documentation for completed jobs.
Essential Skills
Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd inch.
Open to working all shifts.
Minimum of 1 year of press operator experience.
Must have metatarsal boot covers.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with stamping presses and slitter is a plus.

Work Environment
Join a CTH Union Shop where you'll train on the first shift and eventually move to an off shift based on seniority. The work environment includes standing for 8 or more hours, walking for 4-6 hours, and occasionally stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching overhead. The facility fosters a culture of growth and expansion, with an average employee tenure of 20-25 years, and emphasizes safety and camaraderie among its 120 employees.Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
