Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred

• Current state licensure or license eligibility required (e.g., LSW, LPC, LPCC, LISW, or equivalent)

• Willingness to work toward independent licensure if applicable

• Experience working with justice impacted individuals, youth, families, or community based populations preferred

• Knowledge of trauma informed, strengths based, and culturally responsive practices

• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Job Description

Position Summary

A nonprofit client of Insight Global is seeking a counselor/Social Worker to provide direct clinical and supportive services to individuals enrolled in community-based programs. This role promotes participant stability, growth, and goal achievement through assessment, counseling, case management, and referral coordination. The Counselor / Social Worker works under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Supervisor and adheres to ethical, clinical, and program standards.

Direct Clinical Services

• Conduct intake assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations

• Provide individual and group counseling services

• Develop and implement individualized treatment or service plans

• Support participants with coping skills, emotional regulation, and goal achievement

Case Management & Support

• Coordinate referrals to internal and external support services

• Advocate for participant needs within systems such as education, workforce, and reentry

• Monitor participant progress and adjust services as needed

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

• Complete required case notes, assessments, and progress reports

• Adhere to confidentiality, ethical standards, and organizational policies

Collaboration & Team Participation

• Participate in individual and group clinical supervision

• Collaborate with program coordinators, mentors, and support staff

• Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and trainings

Professional Conduct & Development

• Uphold professional ethics and maintain appropriate boundaries

• Engage in ongoing professional development and licensure requirements

• Represent the organization professionally in all settings

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor
