Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in building and managing scalable data solutions within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines, along with a solid understanding of modern data engineering practices.
This role requires a professional who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data integration, processing, and delivery. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
The selected candidate will also play a key role in documenting data workflows, improving system performance, and supporting continuous innovation in Azure-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Optimize and troubleshoot ADF workflows to ensure performance and reliability
Work with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and related services for data storage and processing
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
Document ETL processes, pipeline configurations, and data flow diagrams for maintainability
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance within cloud environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement data requirements
Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using Git
Continuously explore and adopt best practices for Azure-based data engineering solutions
Support data integration and transformation processes across multiple data sources
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced query optimization and stored procedures
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline development
Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and related Azure services
Solid understanding of ETL concepts and data integration best practices
Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows
Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake)
Exposure to modern data architecture patterns and cloud-native solutions
