6-Month Contract-to-HIRE position.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous work experience as Software engineer with 2-4+ years’ experience.

• Hands-on experience with Camunda or similar tools and deep BPM Knowledge with understanding of BPMN 2.0 and DMN 1.x.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Javascript, Python is a must. Experience and knowledge of cloud services e.g. AWS is required.

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Years of Experience

• 4+ years of experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in web development, mobile development, or software engineering projects as part of educational curriculum is preferred.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Software Engineer focused on redefining business processes into automated, technology-driven workflows. In this role, you will partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate real-world business processes into executable technology processes, leveraging modern BPM standards and automation practices. You’ll build and maintain backend process applications, implement workflow orchestration, and embed automation across build, test, and deployment pipelines. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys connecting process thinking with hands-on development—turning “how the business works” into scalable, reliable, automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Technology Process Translation

Help redefine business processes to be more automated and technology-focused by mapping business workflows into executable system workflows.

Drive implementation through analysis and design activities for new business features and value-based enhancements to existing software.

Workflow & Decision Automation:

Workflow Development: Design, model, and develop business process workflows using BPMN 2.0 and decision logic using DMN within Camunda Modeler (or similar tools).

Backend Engineering (Java / Camunda)

Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain Java-based process applications
