Network Engineer

NOTE: You must currently possess a TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc)

Understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation

Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs)

Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)

Familiarity with network virtualization and software definite networking (SDN) Experience

Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks.

Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment.

Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance.

In depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as:

Routing and switching

Network security (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection)

Cloud networking e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Software-defined networking (SD)

Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Experience with creating technical documentation, such as design documents, implementation plans and technical notes

Skills in network protocols

Routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, etc.

Switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTP, etc. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :

Certifications:

CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification

Advanced Certifications such as:

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or

CCIE Cisco Certified Internetwork

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
