Position Summary The Office Manager will oversee daily accounting and administrative operations within the dealership while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This role requires hands-on experience in automotive dealership accounting processes, proficiency with CDK and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to supervise a small team in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day operational tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize CDK and Microsoft Excel to manage daily accounting and administrative activitiesPost daily bank transactions to the general ledger accurately and timelyReconcile accounting schedules and identify/correct posting discrepanciesManage petty cash transactions and maintain accurate recordsProcess and record check deposits received through mailSort and distribute incoming mail and related documentationEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controlsSupervise and support a team of two employeesCollaborate closely with the Finance Secretary and CashierProvide administrative and accounting support to the Controller as neededAssist with month-end closing activities when required Required QualificationsPrior automotive dealership experience requiredStrong understanding of accounting principles and dealership operationsProficiency with CDK Dealer Management System (DMS)Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentProven leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate:A proactive, “go-getter” mentalityStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsA positive, professional attitudeThe ability to lead by example and support team success A willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization
