NOW HIRING! A-Line is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Account Clerk to support the Division of Unclaimed Funds. This team helps reunite Ohio residents with lost or dormant funds by reviewing and processing claims, conducting research, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with recent accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a passion for accuracy and customer service.

Account Clerk

Location: Columbus/Reynoldsburg, Ohio

Pay: $17/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

35 hours per week No weekends or holidays

Training Information

Selected candidates will complete 4-6 weeks of paid training. During training and throughout employment, candidates must be able to work onsite in downtown Columbus, OH and/or Reynoldsburg, OH.

Free onsite parking is available at the Reynoldsburg location

Parking is not provided at the downtown Columbus location

Responsibilities

Examine, review, verify, and process claims

Collect and evaluate background information for claim validity

Ensure compliance with Unclaimed Fund laws and procedures

Communicate with claimants and reporting agents

Analyze reports, forms, and supporting documentation

Conduct detailed research for complex claims

Serve as a primary contact for incoming claimants

Maintain accurate records and data entry

Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least ONE of the following qualifications:

Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting

Minimum of 2 years of recent accounting experience

Completion of undergraduate coursework in business administration, economics, computer science, or related field with:

16 semester hours OR

24 quarter hours in accounting

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong computer and data entry skills

Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Background

Experience reviewing financial documents or claims

Administrative or clerical accounting experience

Customer service experience in a professional office environment
