Description: Responsible for follow up to SAP Planning order exceptions (past due, expedite, push out, cancel), Finished Good Production Scheduling, publishing Daily Production Plan, follow up of Production orders status and barriers, review with kitting for material issues, review and convert planned orders to production orders in SAP, review missing parts from release simulation, create missing parts file and coordinate estimated arrival time with Upstream team, release and prepare orders for production by assemblies, and support Production Schedule Attainment.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning Work: daily MRP exception messages
Manage the flow of material between the supplier and the plant
Ensure materials are available for production
Meet the targets on the days of inventory
Expedite the Purchase Order with the supplier
Crisis shortage provides priority to the supplier
Monthly review of vendor forecast
Review the open order report with the supplier
Update in SAP purchase orders due dates
Review and adjust MRP planning parameters such as safety stock, minimum lot sizes, rounding values, pallet quantities, lead times, lot sizing procedures, etc.
Quarterly review of the replenishment strategy, Kanban, ROP or MRP
Interfaces with MPS Planners and Production Scheduler
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP / SAP, production scheduling, and inventory management
Experience working with SAP desirable · Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Technical/analytical / problem-solving skills
Solid background in materials management/methodology
Adept at thinking on your feet, problem resolution, providing direction to multiple groups, resolving conflict, improving efficiencies, and continuous improvement. Downstream Flow Controller
