Local Driver

Position Summary:

The Local Driver is responsible for making local runs to material pickups and deliveries. They interact with purchasing, warehousing, and panel plant to insure material availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Performs daily milk run to support production requirements.

Execute expedited runs communicated by internal departments.

Perform all duties in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations for secure and safe operation by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Ensure that all required shipping documentation accompanies all deliveries.

Prepares, ships, and receives parts to subcontractors.

Receive and put away parts and other materials from vendors.

Pull parts as requested by various production work centers.

Back up the Receiving Clerk as needed.

Daily housekeeping of area to keep clean.

Manages and maintains the Nucraft trucks.

Regular attendance is required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Education/Experience:

* Chauffer's License

* High school diploma

Computer Skills:

Some machines require basic computer skills.

Expected Hours:

* This is 1st shift, full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thurs 9 hours and Friday 4 hours.

* Overtime is expected when posted in advance.

Physical Requirements:

* The physical demands described here are representative of those who must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking, and lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
