CapEx Project Engineer

CapEx Engineer – Manufacturing

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a professional Engineer to lead CapEx projects for a leading manufacturing company. This role will be responsible for leading capital projects from concept through completion, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget while driving operational efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead capital expenditure projects including equipment installations, upgrades, and facility expansions

Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation

Prepare and present capital justification proposals including ROI and cost-benefit analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership

Oversee equipment procurement, vendor selection, and contractor management

Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Monitor project performance and provide regular updates on timeline, costs, and deliverables

Support process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)

5+ years of experience in capital project engineering within a manufacturing environment

Strong experience managing equipment installations and facility-related projects

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis (ROI/capital justification)

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Experience working with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large capital projects ($1M+)

Familiarity with automation, controls, or advanced manufacturing systems

PMP certification or equivalent project management training

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 based on experience
