Develop new drive scheme and enabling novel capabilities and features for future e-reader, e-notes and outdoor signage products. Support new display product development through in-depth analyses of electro-optical performance and manufacturability, designing and executing electro-optical experiments, developing and utilizing deep learning models and advanced algorithms for driving E Ink displays, performing optimization and in-depth analysis of display performance. Develop algorithms and software to optimize drive schemes for new display technology. Design and execute electro-optical experiments to characterize display performance. Develop and document processes for incorporating algorithms into product production. Perform statistical analysis and build mathematical models to assess results. Investigate fundamental causes of technical challenges. Create and document intellectual property. Telecommuting permitted 1 day / week.

Job Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Math or a directly related field plus four (4) years of industrial experience.
Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
· Systems modelling and characterization for optical systems and fluid dynamic systems;
· Advanced algorithm design and mathematical optimization;
· Optimization, signal processing, systems theory, statistical or mathematical;
· Parallel Programming (SIMD and/or GPU compute) and high-performance computing (Julia, C/C++, Cuda, OpenCL) with expertise in memory and computation optimizations (Swizzling, Paging);
· Systems programming (Serial Communication, microcontrollers, FPGA);
· Advanced video/image processing and rendering with understanding of constraints in physics, mathematical and computational aspects. (Dithering, Color Spaces, Image segmentation);
· Electronic devices and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators;
· Optical Calibration, quality control and Testing methods (2D FFT, image filtering, image segmentation);
· Computational Systems Modelling, including Recurrent Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, PyTorch, Tensorflow, FEM models and simulations;
· MATLAB/Python/Julia plotting and User Interface/Application design (raylib, Skia, MATLAB App designer) frameworks;
· Industrial experience in quality control and delivering robust systems.
Will accept a PhD degree plus two (2) years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Math or a directly related field in lieu of a Master’s degree plus four (4) years of experience.
