Remote Customer Support Representative
We are seeking customer-focused professionals to support individuals by providing information and assistance related to disaster relief and claims-related inquiries. This fully remote role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to incoming customer inquiries by phone and provide accurate information using approved response guidelines and scripts.
Conduct follow-up outbound calls to validate information and confirm documentation received from applicants.
Navigate multiple systems and applications simultaneously while assisting callers.
Record and update information in designated databases and systems during customer interactions.
Escalate complex or sensitive situations to leadership or specialized support teams when appropriate.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling potentially sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a customer-facing or customer support role.
Previous contact center, help desk, or phone-based support experience is an advantage.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the past five (5) years.
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism when assisting individuals experiencing difficult circumstances.
Ability to successfully complete a federal background investigation.
Prior or current Department of Homeland Security clearance is a plus.
