Position Overview

A leading commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of commercial, light industrial, and healthcare construction projects throughout Central Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

Provide executive oversight for multiple commercial, healthcare, and light industrial construction projects.

Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and support staff.

Drive accountability for project safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.

Conduct regular project reviews and risk assessments to identify challenges and implement solutions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.

Client Relations & Business Development

Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, healthcare systems, architects, and industry partners.

Participate in project pursuits, interviews, presentations, and contract negotiations.

Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within commercial, healthcare, and industrial markets.

Serve as the executive point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.

Financial & Project Oversight

Oversee project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and profitability.

Review and approve major project expenditures, change orders, and subcontract agreements.

Monitor project schedules and ensure successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Lead portfolio-level reporting and performance reviews for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

12+ years of commercial construction experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

Proven success managing large-scale commercial, healthcare, and/or light industrial projects.

Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and risk management.

Experience leading multiple project teams simultaneously.

Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Experience

Ground-up healthcare facilities, medical office buildings, hospitals, and outpatient centers.

Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and light industrial facilities.

Commercial office, mixed-use, higher education, or institutional construction.

Design-build and negotiated project delivery methods.

Experience overseeing projects ranging from $20M to $250M+.
