Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to fulfill a full-time contract role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The position is based in the vibrant community near Sonora, CA, and welcomes both local candidates and travelers eager to make an impact in early learning environments.

In this role, you will manage an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) caseload, tailoring instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners. Your expertise will help shape the foundation of students’ academic and personal growth, collaborating with families and school staff to create inclusive, positive outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

Valid CTC certification with ECSE authorization (required)

Background in special education, particularly early childhood settings

Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Strong communication and organizational skills

Flexible, resourceful, and compassionate approach to teaching

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities for ECSE students

Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to IEP meetings

Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and family members to promote student success

Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment

Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal special education regulations
