Construction Laborer – Utilities & Earthmoving

Salary & Benefits

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Overtime: Time-and-a-half paid after 40 hours (Heavy overtime opportunities!)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Standard 10 to 12-hour shifts; 50-60 hours per week)

Location: Local work within a 50-mile radius of Sandpoint and Ponderay, ID (No overnight travel)

Job Summary

We are looking for hardworking, reliable Utility & Operations Laborers to support our field crews. You will be the backbone of our job sites, assisting with water utility installations, grade checking, and general site prep for subdivisions and local highway projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist pipe-layers in installing underground water, sewer, and storm utility pipes.

Hand-shovel, backfill, and operate compactors/jumping jacks around structures and pipelines.

Set up pipe lasers and assist equipment operators by checking grades.

Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site across various residential, commercial, and highway projects.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in civil construction, pipe-laying, trenching, or general outdoor labor is preferred, but we will train the right hard worker.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying North Idaho weather conditions.

Stamina: Prepared for a rigorous Monday–Friday schedule with consistent daily overtime.

Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Sandpoint/Ponderay area daily.
