Planner, Purchaser and Scheduler (PPS)

Pay rate: $25/hr - Depending on Experience

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Days: Monday - Friday

Job Description:

PPS is responsible for planning and scheduling the production lines as well as purchasing raw materials and packaging. In addition, they are responsible for ordering materials needed from overseas for sales and local production.

Job Duties / Tasks:

· Schedule production lines according to demand, efficiency and cost effective

· Analyze forecasted demand on traded and raw material items to issues issue purchase orders in alignment of right part right time method.

· Ensure production planning is aligned with customer demand in order to deliver on time

· Manage and develop production run strategies to optimize output, inventory and efficiency working directly with Production Managers

· Ensure used raw materials in production are consumed in the system correctly and on time

· Confirm customer orders internally to customer service and ensure requested date can be met

· Ensure all needed raw materials and packaging are on hand based on the defined minimum targets

· Place purchase orders to the suppliers, follow up on order status, receive raw materials and process invoices correctly in the system

· Control vendors in regards of quality, on time deliveries and correct pricing

· Ensure traded materials for sales and internal production are placed on time and on inventory for meeting customers requested dates and no internal production interruption

· Ensure smooth communication with headquarters for all traded materials

· Work closely together with our toll partners to ensure on time deliveries for internal production and sales

· Coordinate shipments to toll facility and coordinate returns of produced goods at toll facility

· Establish good working relationships with vendors for better delivery terms and prices

· Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager

Main Targets or Criteria for Performance Assessment

· Ensure on time deliveries to the customer (>96%)

· Ensure efficient production planning for production lines (Volume achievement in production)

· Ensure raw materials are consumed on time

· Ensure on time deliveries from vendors for raw materials and packaging (>96%)

· Ensure raw materials and packaging is on inventory (above minimum inventory)

· Inventory level must be controlled

· Manage toll relationship and secure on time deliveries of tolled materials

· Communicate directly with customer service and Sales

Education / Qualifications

Experience in production planning, purchasing or related areas is required

High School diploma, Bachelor degree is an advantage

Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and listening

Excellent organizational and analytical skills, manage multiple tasks, and team oriented workstyle

Experience using personal computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Warehouse / Inventory management software required

Special Requirements:

Required to work overtime, when necessary
