Why This Role Exists

Colinear Aerospace continues to expand its aerospace machining capabilities and requires a Manufacturing Engineer who can act as the technical bridge between engineering and production .

This role exists to improve how parts are made — reducing cycle time, improving yield, supporting new programs, and ensuring machining processes meet the strict requirements of AS9100 aerospace manufacturing.

This is a hands-on, shop-floor-facing role, not a desk-only engineering position.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing methods, routers, and process documentation

Create, optimize, and support CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and lathes

Troubleshoot machining and process issues directly on the production floor

Support estimating and quoting through DFM analysis, manufacturing methods, and BOM input

Collaborate with machinists, programmers, quality, and leadership to improve efficiency and part quality

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and repeatability

You'll have real ownership over how aerospace components move from print to production.

---
