One of our clients is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within their manufacturing and production division. This is a high-impact role supporting a well-established Southern California company with integrated operations across multiple business units.
What You'll Do
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes
Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights
Collaborate with operations and management to drive cost control measures
Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes
Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards
Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
Provide financial support for capital projects and investment decisions
Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals
Maintain and develop internal control procedures
What We're Looking For
7+ years of accounting experience
Construction industry accounting experience required
Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
Prior experience managing a small team
CPA and/or CMA certification preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (intermediate level)
Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or similar construction ERP a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator
