Assistant Maintenance Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a maintenance professional with a strong background in equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and team leadership, who is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to maintenance operations while supporting key initiatives that drive equipment uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day maintenance operations, including scheduling, preventative maintenance execution, and work order management.
Serve as a point of contact for maintenance technicians regarding equipment issues, priorities, and troubleshooting support.
Assist with equipment repairs, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Coordinate and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Support inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
Partner with production and operations teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance best practices.
Maintain and update CMMS systems, ensuring accuracy of maintenance records and reporting.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support leadership in managing technician performance, training, and development.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Experience with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience
Hours: Monday through Friday (Primarily first shift with flexibility for off-shift or emergency support as needed)
