Senior Superintendent

A Senior Superintendent in construction is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for large or complex projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day field operations on construction projects

Supervise superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel

Coordinate project schedules, sequencing, and site logistics

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety programs

Conduct site inspections and quality control reviews

Monitor project progress and resolve field issues quickly

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients

Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate trades

Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents

Track manpower, equipment, and material needs

Ensure work complies with building codes and contract requirements

Maintain project documentation, reports, and daily logs

Support budgeting, cost control, and schedule management
