We are seeking a skilled and customer-centric Client Technologies Specialist to join our team supporting a public sector client in Augusta, Maine. This role primarily focuses on advanced desktop support, application updates, and operating system remediation.

While the day-to-day operations are predominantly remote, candidates must live within a 1-hour radius of Augusta, ME to accommodate occasional onsite equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Desktop & Application Support: Provide comprehensive desktop support, install application updates, and ensure all end-user systems run efficiently.

• OS Remediation: Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows Operating System update failures and patch management issues.

• Vulnerability Management: Proactively identify and remove unsupported or vulnerable software from end-user devices.

• Remote Support: Leverage remote management technology, tools, and commands to perform advanced troubleshooting and remediation.

• Documentation & Standards: Maintain meticulous documentation of technical fixes, follow strict quality standards, and provide clear, accurate status updates to management.

• Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings and technical liaison functions in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Technical Troubleshooting: Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues.

• OS Expertise: Deep knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and the core product suites that run on those platforms.

• Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users (both written and spoken).

• Prior Public Sector Experience: Previous State of Maine experience is strictly required for this position.

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications are a plus.

Work Environment & Compliance Notes

• Remote Structure: Majority of the work is performed remotely. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed if using a personal vehicle for mandatory onsite equipment runs.

• Background Screening: Candidates must be able to pass a standard comprehensive background package, including a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and CJIS Fingerprinting.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

• Travel: Occasional local travel required (equipment pick-up/drop-off at Augusta office)
