Job Description
A&A Seafood Shack is a fast-growing seafood restaurant known for great food, strong customer service, and a family-style work environment. We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations, support our team, and make sure our customers receive top-notch service every time they walk through the door.
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager will support the Manager and ownership team with daily restaurant operations. This person must be able to lead by example, communicate clearly, handle pressure during busy shifts, and help maintain the standards of A&A Seafood Shack.
The right candidate must be reliable, professional, organized, and willing to step in wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Assist with opening and closing the restaurant
Supervise employees during assigned shifts
Help ensure food quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards are met
Support cashier, server, and kitchen operations when needed
Handle customer concerns in a professional manner
Help manage shift flow during busy periods
Monitor employee performance and report concerns to management
Assist with scheduling, training, and coaching team members
Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant
Count drawers, review cash handling, and assist with end-of-shift procedures
Promote teamwork and a positive work environment
Qualifications
Restaurant or food service experience preferred
Previous leadership or supervisor experience preferred
Must be dependable and punctual
Must have strong communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lead a team and hold employees accountable
Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Food handler certification preferred, or must be willing to obtain
