Job Description

FedEx Express Contractor based in Grove City, Ohio is hiring Class A CDL Linehaul Drivers for regional runs. We offer stable routes, morning dispatch, and consistent weekly pay with modern equipment. This truck driving position operates 3 to 5 days per week with a mix of short haul runs and occasional ten hour layovers. We are a veteran friendly employer and welcome experienced commercial drivers and retirees to join our team.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and tractor trailer combination

Perform reliable drop and hook freight transportation with zero cargo handling

Conduct thorough pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety

Manage hours of service using electronic logging devices

Maintain strict adherence to DOT safety regulations and transit schedules

Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route status

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement (will help motivated candidates achieve doubles endorsement if necessary)

Valid DOT medical certification card

At least 12 months of commercial driving experience within the last 3 years, or 5 years of experience within the past 10 years, or 6 months of experience with completion of a FedEx approved truck driving school

Clean MVR motor vehicle record with no DUIs is a must

Clean background screening with no felonies is a must

Ability to pass a DOT drug screening including random screenings after hire

Disclaimer: Weekly pay is estimated at 2000 - 3000 miles per week, at $0.70 cent a mile. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed amount each week. Miles driven is dependent on how much you want to drive. All Drivers make $0.70 cent a mile, and are compensated for additional stops outside of the normal runs.
