Purpose:Reporting to the Director of Pricing, this role offers the opportunity to play a key role in evaluating and executing complex flow reinsurance transactions that support Athene’s continued growth and innovation in the retirement services industry. Through actuarial modeling, transaction analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, this individual will help drive strategic initiatives across pricing and corporate development.

Accountabilities:

Support pricing and execution of flow reinsurance transactions through actuarial modeling, analysis, and transaction diligence

Develop and maintain pricing models, analytical tools, and supporting materials for new and in-force opportunities

Analyze product features, experience data, and transaction structures to support pricing assumptions, profitability analysis, and risk assessment

Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, investments, legal, risk, accounting, and corporate development teams throughout transaction execution

Support the enhancement and documentation of pricing methodologies, model controls, operational processes, and peer review practices

Research and monitor actuarial, accounting, regulatory, and industry developments impacting pricing, including statutory, GAAP, and international solvency frameworks

Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives and AI workflows.

Effective time and priority management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related field; ASA or near completion of actuarial credential, FSA, FIA, preferred

6+ years of relevant actuarial experience in life insurance, reinsurance, or financial services, with experience in asset-intensive pricing, valuation, ALM, capital modeling, or financial reporting preferred

Familiarity with statutory, GAAP, and/or international solvency frameworks such as Solvency II or ICS

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience with actuarial modeling platforms (MG-ALFA, GGY AXIS, Polysystems or similar) and programming or analytics tools such as Python, R, VBA, SAS, or SQL preferred

Demonstrated collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills, with an innovative mindset, strong accountability, and ability to work effectively across functions
