This electrical engineering position encompasses overseeing and contributing to large-scale renewable projects, including large solar and wind projects near Earth, TX. As a project engineer, the resource will be responsible for providing electrical expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling Requests for Information (RFIs) across multiple projects. A typical day will vary based on project activities - during submittal and RFI phases, the role focuses on collaborating with other engineers and project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are clearly outlined, including evaluating drawings, studies, and analyses, and reviewing technical documentation to confirm alignment with project specifications and requirements. Variances to the company's master specifications must be communicated internally for approvals by the engineer. During construction activities, the day will be more in-person, assisting team members by addressing electrical engineering-related questions about the project, clarifying details about the design or construction process, and troubleshooting issues that arise on-site. Overall responsibilities will vary from planning and reviewing to providing direct support during construction. This resource should have knowledge of how to resolve RFIs and non-conformance requests, the ability to understand and interpret design drawings, manage compliance of construction to design drawings, and manage RFI requests. The resource should have 2-3 years of renewable generation project experience and must be willing and able to travel to site.
