Assembly Technician
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Balls & Seats Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team. This position supports the production of precision components used in the coating and painting process of battery cans manufactured to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, clean, rework, and inspect Balls & Seats components
Perform testing and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
Follow measurement matrices and work instructions to maintain proper shimming and clearance requirements
Use precision measuring tools and maintain accurate documentation as needed
Perform brazing operations on metal components using current equipment (open-flame process)
Adapt to updated procedures when induction brazing equipment is implemented
Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies in parts
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work
Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications
Comfortable working with small parts and precision measurements
Previous manufacturing, assembly, inspection, brazing, or quality control experience is a plus
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
