Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Perform daily construction inspections for infrastructure, buildings, or site development projects
Verify compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
Monitor contractor activities to ensure quality control, safety standards, and contract compliance
Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, including field documentation, photos, and progress tracking
Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project teams
Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
Participate in progress meetings and provide technical input to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) required
10+ years of construction inspection and/or construction management experience
Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, and QA/QC practices
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
Experience with field inspections, reporting, and contractor coordination
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with construction/scheduling tools is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
