Role Description:

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cybersecurity Specialist, located in New York, NY, with flexibility for partial remote work. In this role, you will assist in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, support network monitoring activities, and collaborate with team members to implement effective security measures. You will also contribute to application security processes, stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, and help maintain the organization’s overall information security posture. Training and mentorship will be provided, and no prior professional experience is required.

Qualifications:

Foundational knowledge or interest in Application Security, Network Security, and Cybersecurity concepts

Understanding of Information Security and basic principles of Cyber Defense

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices in the field

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment

A passion for the cybersecurity field and commitment to continuous skill development

A relevant degree or certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) is a plus but not required
