Maintenance Controls Technician
CAMACO is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume automotive production facility. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, robotic welding cells, and industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operations.
This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to quickly resolve automation-related issues and improve equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred)
Support robotic systems (Fanuc preferred)
Diagnose electrical, sensor, motor, and control circuit issues
Perform control panel troubleshooting and component replacement
Support preventive maintenance and downtime reduction initiatives
Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
Assist with equipment startups, modifications, and upgrades
Document repairs and control changes accurately
Qualifications
Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or automated manufacturing
Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills
Basic PLC diagnostics experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
