Shift: Monday–Friday, standard first-shift business hours

Role Overview
The Engineering Project Specialist II will serve as a Resident Engineer, delivering both proactive and reactive technical support in alignment with service level agreements. This role is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring proper alignment between business needs and technical solutions. The position requires strong technical expertise, collaboration, and the ability to support network performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct network discovery sessions to gather requirements and understand existing environments
Align with customer organizational structure, support processes, and operational procedures
Test and validate new network designs, features, and functionality in lab and production environments
Implement patches, upgrades, and fixes, ensuring proper performance across all environments
Troubleshoot network and hardware issues, managing cases through resolution
Coordinate hardware replacements and manage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)
Provide regular reporting on project status, network health, and issue resolution
Facilitate technical workshops to review network performance, challenges, and solutions
Train customer teams on configuration, operation, and best practices for network technologies
Assist in developing and maintaining network operating and equipment procedures
Support production environments and contribute to best practice development
Collaborate with peer engineers to mitigate risks during upgrades and network changes
Expand technical expertise across additional networking technologies
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale IP networks
Strong hands-on experience with JUNOS CLI
Experience with QFX and EX platforms, including switching and routing technologies
Enterprise or data center experience, including EVPN/VXLAN environments
Proficiency in routing protocols including BGP (eBGP and iBGP) and OSPF
Experience with Mist Wireless Assurance and related technologies
Familiarity with EZ-LAG and similar configurations
Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks, including Ansible, YAML, JSON, and Python scripting
Experience with Juniper PyEZ or equivalent automation platforms
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders
Experience supporting network upgrades, maintenance windows, and infrastructure changes
Strong presentation, documentation, and customer-facing skills
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant technical certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, JNCIS-MistAI (Wired/Wireless), CCNP, or CCIE
Hands-on experience with Mist access points, Marvis AI, and the Mist web-based UI
Experience developing and maintaining operational and fault diagnosis procedures
Knowledge of network performance monitoring and health assessment
Experience with implementation planning, migrations, and upgrade validation
Familiarity with support case management and escalation processes
Experience working with APIs and web-based network management interfaces
Ability to provide ongoing knowledge transfer and technical guidance to stakeholders
