Position Summary

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) plays a key role in supporting the dental team by providing high-quality chairside assistance, patient care, and administrative support. This position ensures a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for both patients and providers while upholding the mission and values of Crossroads Family Care.Key Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and procedures.

Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms according to infection control and sterilization standards.

Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed.

Accurately chart and maintain patient records within the electronic health system.

Educate and comfort patients before, during, and after treatment, ensuring a positive experience.

Monitor and maintain adequate dental supply inventory.

Adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies regarding patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Support overall clinic operations and assist team members as needed.Qualifications

Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.

CPR certification required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with patients of all ages.

Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.

Prior experience in a community health or FQHC setting preferred, but not required.Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Fast-paced dental clinic environment.

Frequent standing, walking, and assisting patients.

Regular use of standard dental instruments and equipment.

Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.Additional Notes
