Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract/temporary opportunity in Caguas, PR within a manufacturing environment supporting regulated production operations. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with experience in quality, compliance, validation, and continuous improvement within medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The Quality Engineer will serve as a key quality assurance resource for day-to-day manufacturing operations, partnering closely with production leadership, investigation engineers, manufacturing engineering, and direct labor teams. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to validation activities, quality improvement initiatives, cost improvement projects, and product quality systems in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

This is a strong opportunity for a bilingual Quality Engineer who can work independently with minimal guidance, communicate effectively across functions, and help drive sustainable quality improvements in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide quality engineering support for day-to-day manufacturing operations and serve as a QA representative for assigned production areas.

- Develop, review, write, and approve qualification and validation protocols and reports, including IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.

- Support quality plans, product specifications, risk analyses, FMEAs, validation documentation, and quality system documentation.

- Implement and assess changes through the change management system, including quality engineering impact assessments.

- Track quality improvement actions, support investigations, and lead or assist with corrective actions and remediation activities.

- Monitor project progress, support continuous improvement and cost improvement projects, and provide monthly reporting on quality improvement initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.

- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.

- Schedule: Office schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Position Type: Exempt.
