Shipper

Job Title

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2nd Shift Shipper for our Columbus, OH Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping department.

Packs and ships completed sales orders by using the correct number of boxes and stuffing not to exceed the 40 lb. weight standard set up by the shipping manager.

Maintains the quality of the product by looking for damaged bags or boxes.

Helps ship Freight orders and other special orders including Heavy Duty shipments and end of day for Next Day Air shipments, including Hazardous Material.

Performs daily maintenance to sales orders to assure the correct quantity goes out including incompletes.

Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.

This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers regarding a shipment.

This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions that pertain to each shipment.

This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing seventy (70) pounds.

This position requires a strong work ethic and some schedule flexibility.

Additional Information:

The pay rate is $19 per hour

The hours are 2:30pm - 11pm, Monday through Friday.
