Job description*:

The requirement is for an Infrastructure engineer who can perform platform deployment i.e. Cloud networking, terraform deployment of the resources, access provision etc.

#Detailed requirement:

Comfortable explaining technical topics at multiple levels, tailoring their style to match the audience. Able to have robust discussions with peers and managers, taking on feedback and challenging others as appropriate

Knowledge of security-first design principals, and able to articulate these as requirements to others.

Must be able to multi-task, balancing competing priorities of their time, with strong context-switching ability

Know when to take the lead, and when to support in a group setting, such as discussions, meetings, or technical work

Understanding of when to deliver an MVP and when to invest the time in a more rigorous approach

Extensive experience with and detailed knowledge of Terraform & Infrastructure-as-Code principles

Experience of using CI/CD pipelines for IaC work, ideally with Azure DevOps or GitHub

Strong problem-solving ability and experience in troubleshooting Azure-related issues, following issues to their root cause and providing repeatable solutions

Experience with Configuration-as-Code tools, such as Ansible, is desirable

Experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on scalable infrastructure solutions

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to converse directly with business users, peers, stakeholders and vendors

Implementation of Observability and Resilience strategies, tools & processes

Comfortable using Linux (WSL) CLI tools for development workflow

Source control management, using Git, and a working knowledge of different Git-Flow models

Experience with programming and scripting languages, especially PowerShell, Terraform & YAML. Python, TypeScript and .Net (C#) are desirable.

Agile & Scrum methodologies and practices, able to adapt to individual teams’ ways of working
