Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover the Pearson iLower Secondary frameworks for both Mathematics and Science.
Foster a "Growth Mindset" in students, particularly in Mathematics, to build confidence and problem-solving skills.
Conduct practical science experiments safely, ensuring students understand the scientific method and laboratory protocols.
Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
Assessment and Progress
Implement regular formative and summative assessments aligned with Pearson standards.
Prepare Year 7-9 students for the Pearson Edexcel iLower Secondary Achievement Tests.
Use data-driven insights to track student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioral observations.
Classroom Management & Environment
Create a stimulating, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage laboratory equipment and resources efficiently, prioritizing health and safety.
Maintain high expectations for student behavior in line with the school’s "Regal" values.
Professional Collaboration
Work closely with the Science and Math departments to ensure cross-curricular links (e.g., using data handling in science experiments).
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, departmental meetings, and school-wide professional development.
Contribute to the extracurricular life of the school (e.g., Science Club, Math Olympiads, or STEM fairs).
Monitoring and Assessment
Analysing half termly assessment data to track attainment and progress, but to also highlight any gaps which need to be addressed
Monitoring pupils’ books and journals for consistency and in line with the Primary objectives
Monitor weekly planning
Moderating and standardising
Reporting each half term to the Primary lead/Principal on data, progress, attainment and staff development
Wider Community
Running workshops to inform parents of the School practice and development to enable them to support their child at home
Positively promote the Primary phase of the School
Oversee whole school displays that promote the Primary Phase
Evaluating the impact of your work through data analysis, questionnaires, monitoring visits, etc.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Mathematics, or Education.
and/or Master’s Degree or PGCE/QTS.
Experience
Minimum 2 years teaching Lower Secondary in an International setting.
and/or Experience specifically with Pearson Edexcel.
Language
Native English proficiency.
and/or Experience working in Gulf states
Tech Skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Interactive Whiteboards.
Experience with LMS (e.g., Google Classroom).
