VP, Cloud Engineering

We are looking for a VP of Cloud Engineering to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

You will drive the design and execution of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments while enabling innovation across the business.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the enterprise cloud strategy and roadmap

Lead and scale cloud engineering and platform teams

Oversee cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments

Drive cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives

Establish best practices for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code

Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and performance standards

Partner with executive leadership to align cloud capabilities with business goals

Optimize cloud cost management and operational efficiency

Manage vendor relationships and cloud platform partnerships Qualifications

12+ years of IT experience, with significant leadership in cloud engineering

Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformations

Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems

Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, etc.)

Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks
