API-Focused Java Developer Role

Take your Java development skills to the next level with CGI as you support one of Canada's largest banks, focusing on API certification processes using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js.

This permanent full-time position allows for a hybrid work model to foster collaboration.

As a crucial member of our development team in Atlantic Canada, you will work on enhancing API processes to ensure they meet strict security and performance metrics.

A background of at least 2 years in Java development is required to provide technical expertise to various teams adopting advanced API frameworks.

You will work 2-3 days each week onsite, ensuring smooth integration and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and enhance API certification processes thoroughly • Review and ensure OpenAPI specifications alignment • Collaborate to resolve integration and compliance challenges • Provide troubleshooting support for teams using frameworks • Maintain and enhance existing Java (Spring Boot) APIs Requirements: • Master’s degree in Software Development or similar • At least 2 years' Java development experience • Solid understanding of RESTful API design • Proficiency with version control systems like Git • Strong collaboration and communication skills Utilize your Java and Spring Boot experience at CGI to contribute towards high-performing, secure APIs.
