Job Summary

The Maintenance Operator is responsible for supporting preventive, breakdown, and routine maintenance activities of pressure die casting machines, CNC machines, utilities, and plant equipment to ensure uninterrupted production operations. The role includes machine inspection, basic troubleshooting, repair support, and maintaining equipment efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of pressure die casting machines and auxiliary equipment.

•Perform routine inspection and monitoring of machines, utilities, and maintenance systems.

•Support troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues.

•Carry out machine cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn-out parts.

•Assist in installation and commissioning of machines and equipment.

•Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables properly.

•Report abnormal machine conditions and breakdowns to supervisors.

•Support maintenance activities for compressors, chillers, cooling systems, and utility equipment.

•Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and daily activity logs.

•Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and 5S practices in maintenance areas.

•Follow safety procedures during machine repair and maintenance activities.

Required Skills

•Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

•Ability to use maintenance tools and measuring instruments.

•Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.

•Understanding of machine maintenance and lubrication practices.

•Good teamwork and communication skills.

•Ability to work in shift operations and handle breakdown situations

•Hydraulic Systems

•Air Compressors and Cooling Systems

•Electrical Panels and Motors

Educational Qualification

•ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, or Maintenance-related trade.

•Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.

Experience

•0-2 years of experience in maintenance operations within pressure die casting, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
