Summary

The Structural Engineer is a key role on our engineering track. You will lead project design efforts, perform engineering design of precast components and connections, run 3D finite element modeling, and prepare construction documents in CAD and BIM environments. You will work with internal and external clients to deliver successful projects while building both technical expertise and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to define project requirements

Perform structural analysis and design of precast components and connections

Prepare drawings and construction documents in CAD and BIM formats

Conduct 3D finite element modeling and analysis for structural components

Anticipate and identify structural or scope issues and propose solutions

Manage tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining budget accuracy

Lead and mentor staff when assigned as a Task or Project Leader

Stay current with industry codes and standards while actively pursuing professional development

Contribute to the development of design templates, checklists, and standards

Assist the Vice President of Engineering with consultant billings and staff allocation

Coach and support junior staff in their development

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering required; Master’s preferred

Diverse project design experience with demonstrated career growth

Proficiency with CAD and BIM platforms and familiarity with finite element analysis

Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
