Job Title: Executive Director – Technology & Innovation

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: $186,500 per annum plus superannuation

About the Role

The Executive Director – Technology & Innovation is responsible for determining and driving the strategic direction of digital and technology initiatives across the organisation. This includes leading the development and implementation of mobile technology solutions within construction operations and enhancing the client experience through innovative digital platforms. The role provides overall direction and management to the Technology team and works closely with senior leadership to align technology strategy with broader organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction & Organisational Leadership

• Determine, formulate and review the organisation's technology strategy, policies and programs

• Provide overall direction and management to the Technology & Innovation division

• Develop and execute strategic plans for incorporating mobile technology into construction operations and client engagement

• Identify opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency and competitive advantage

• Present strategic recommendations and reports to the Board and senior leadership

Resource Authorisation & Budget Management

• Authorise material, human and financial resources to implement technology programs and initiatives

• Prepare and present budgets, forecasts and business cases to the Board and governing bodies

• Oversee procurement and allocation of technology resources across the organisation

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor and evaluate performance of technology initiatives against organisational objectives and strategies

• Establish and track key performance indicators for technology projects and team outcomes

• Provide regular reports to the Director on progress, risks and opportunities

• Review recommendations and reports from subordinate staff and external consultants

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead, manage and mentor the Technology & Innovation team, fostering a high performance culture

• Consult with senior subordinate staff and review recommendations and reports

• Collaborate with Operations, Construction and Client Services teams to ensure technology solutions meet business needs

• Liaise with external technology partners, vendors and industry bodies

Representation & Industry Engagement

• Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, seminars and forums relating to construction technology and innovation

• Build and maintain relationships with technology partners, industry associations and key stakeholders

• Position the organisation as a leader in construction technology and digital client experience

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a senior executive or director level role

• Strong strategic planning and organisational leadership capabilities

• Experience leading technology or digital transformation initiatives

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and allocate resources effectively

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to boards and senior executives

• Understanding of construction, property or related industries (desirable)
