Description:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to join our team in Dearborn, MI. This is a full-time onsite opportunity for a highly skilled database professional who will act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PostgreSQL in GCP environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases across GCP services including Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, and GKE-based deployments. The role requires deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals, performance tuning, high availability configurations, replication strategies, and disaster recovery planning. You will work closely with application, DevOps, and platform teams to support database integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise data initiatives.

This position demands hands-on experience in automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python/Bash), along with strong knowledge of GCP networking, IAM, security, encryption, and compliance best practices. The candidate will also perform root cause analysis for database incidents, implement long-term stability solutions, and mentor operations teams.
