Civmec is currently seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to join our team on the Green Iron 2:1 Fortescue Project. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient execution of rigging and lifting operations across a major SMP construction scope.
The Rigging Supervisor is responsible for the planning, forecasting, resourcing, safety, compliance and forward control of all rigging and lifting activities, ensuring construction works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
Demonstrate strong job knowledge across rigging and lifting operations
Deliver high-quality work outcomes aligned with Civmec and client standards
Drive productivity to meet project schedules and budgets
Lead Occupational Health & Safety compliance and performance
Oversee construction and erection of structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) mining components
Supervise and control designated project works across SMP disciplines
Manage material take-offs and support procurement activities
Lead daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings
Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve technical queries
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
White Card
Advanced Rigging High Risk Licence
Valid Driver’s Licence
EWP High Risk Licence
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience within mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial construction
Strong background in project planning and resource management
Proven experience preparing and reviewing lift plans for heavy and complex lifts
Experience inspecting rigging equipment
