Job summary
The Quality Manager ensures the organization meets and exceeds its Quality KPIs by embedding a culture of quality awareness and customer focus. The role drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce customer faults (0 km and field), internal defects, and scrap, improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Acting as the Product Safety Representative and ATEX Authorized Manager within Operations Örebro, the Quality Manager safeguards compliance with critical safety and regulatory requirements.
A key responsibility is managing the site’s quality management system, ensuring its effectiveness through internal audits and adherence to standards. The position requires proactive leadership to identify root causes of quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions. By promoting quality as a shared responsibility, the role strengthens collaboration across departments and enhances organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a Quality Mindset by driving risk assessments, structured improvements, and embedding a culture of continuous quality enhancement across all processes.
Act as the Voice of the Customer, ensuring customer requirements and feedback are reflected in decisions and quality initiatives.
Lead and Coordinate Quality Improvements within operations, including product audits, corrective actions, and improvement projects such as Six Sigma/Black Belt initiatives.
Develop and Execute Quality Strategies by contributing to annual business plans, defining KPIs, creating action plans, and managing resources to deliver improvement projects.
Manage Quality Processes and Compliance, serving as Product Safety Representative, overseeing QDC prioritization, making shipment decisions, and ensuring adherence to quality engineering standards.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams on quality issues (0-km and field), provide 8D responses, and actively participate in strategic and operational management forums.
Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an industrial environment, with proven leadership experience in Quality, production, or product development.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies; Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
Compliance & Training: Ability to conduct Product Safety Representative training for the automotive industry.
Language Skills: Professional in English (spoken and written), native/near-native in Swedish and the local language.
Additional Competencies: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and experience leading improvement projects.
