Senior Java Developer (Full Stack) (Federal Healthcare System – AWS Cloud)

Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support a mission-critical federal healthcare system operating in a secure AWS cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong backend Java expertise combined with modern frontend development experience and a solid understanding of secure, scalable enterprise systems.

This role will contribute to application modernization, production support, system enhancements, and integration efforts within a highly regulated federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Develop responsive frontend components using ReactJS.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

Support AWS-hosted applications (ECS/EKS preferred).

Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevSecOps practices.

Implement secure coding standards aligned with federal security guidelines.

Support database development and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).

Troubleshoot production issues and support release cycles.

Collaborate with QA, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders in Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Java development.

5+ years with Spring/Spring Boot.

3+ years of frontend development (React preferred).

Experience developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar).

Experience working in AWS cloud environments.

Experience in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Experience supporting federal or highly regulated systems preferred.

Technology Stack:

AWS, Spring Boot (Java), React JS, Python, WildFly, Eureka Server, Redis Cache, PostgreSQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting CMS or federal healthcare systems.

Familiarity with batch processing and file-based integrations.

Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.

Experience working in FISMA-compliant environments.
