HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Sales team as a Sales Representative II.
Summary
The Sales Representative II solicits sales orders by visiting customers and assists customer in choosing the best refractory products for their particular application. The Sales Representative II provides technical assistance through the sales lifecycle from selection to installation of the product and is focused on obtaining the maximum amount of business with the best profit margin. The position is responsible for ongoing relationship development with customers.
Responsibilities
Scheduling and making sales calls with new and established customers, end users, and contractors; initiating joint sales calls and jobsite visits with customers including troubleshooting problems
Monitoring material inventories, DC business levels, handles complaints, assists with collections, follow-up on orders and deliveries and other miscellaneous activities
Providing timely and accurate sales quotations and proving timely follow up to customer inquiries/complaints
Performing business reporting, forecasting, and planning including CRM input; reviewing sales budgets and miscellaneous company data
Making sales and product presentations
Requirements
Requires B.S. degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related fields, or equivalent practical field experience
Requires general knowledge of refractories
Requires computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel expertise
Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data
Requires strong industry-specific knowledge coupled with the ability to manage supplier relationships
Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
Requires self-motivation with the ability to adapt quickly
The Sales Representative II requires four plus (4+) years of refractory or industrial-based field experience with emphasis on sales and marketing.

Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time standing, talking or hearing and less than 1/3 of time sitting, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling and tasting/smelling.
