As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities: * Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors * Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others * Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes * Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus * Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle * Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies * Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect * Drives end to end technical delivery by leading project planning, architectural decisions, cross functional coordination, and execution to ensure high quality, on-time outcomes * Maintain and Deploy ECS and EKS applications to AWS * Coding, designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java, Spring, Kafka Streams, Flink, Data Lake & Low Latency stores * Performing maintenance and production support Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: * Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience * Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability * 8 plus year of experience in designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java, Spring, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, & Low Latency stores (Cassandra) * Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle * Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security * In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems * Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight * Hands on AWS cloud management experience (ECS) * Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field * Experience driving end to end technical delivery ensure high quality in execution * Strong hands on lead experience with varying levels of Software Engineers Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: * Experience working with Petabyte scale environments and streaming billions of events per day * AWS Certified * Experience with Data Lake * Experience in a very large I.T.
