Crypto Mining Hardware Technician

Job Description

BTCM Akron is the largest blockchain data center in Akron Ohio. We are scaling operations in and are looking for talented locals to join our team.

Responsibilities:

This role is a combination of maintenance/preventative maintenance (70%) and IT Troubleshooting (30%)

Install and maintain data center devices including servers and/or software

Complete daily walkthroughs, inventory, and system checks

Maintain records of all events and logs and submit daily and weekly reports to the off-site team

Provide practical troubleshooting solutions and get ahead of problems before they start with basic hardware (ASIC)

Receive and ship data center equipment

Rack and install incoming equipment in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Positive and professional demeanor

Training will be provided. Entry level candidates are welcomed

Ability to lift and carry 40-70 pounds

Ability to walk long distances (from one side of the center to the other and back frequently based on need)

Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures and noisy environment
