About the Role

A growing technology startup is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale its core product. This engineer will work across the frontend and backend, contributing directly to customer-facing features as well as internal systems. The role offers a high level of ownership and influence over technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This position is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys working closely with product and design, shipping quickly, and improving systems over time.What You’ll Do

Build and maintain full stack web applications used by customers and internal teams

Develop scalable backend services and APIs to support product features

Implement modern, responsive frontend interfaces with a focus on usability and performance

Collaborate with product managers and designers to define requirements and deliver solutions

Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning

Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviews

Help improve engineering processes, tooling, and system reliability

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering cultureTech Environment

The engineering team works with a modern startup stack, including:

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js

Backend: Node.js (Express or NestJS) and/or Python (Django or FastAPI)

Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CD

APIs: REST and GraphQL

Tools: Git, GitHub, modern monitoring and logging toolsWhat We’re Looking For

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong full stack experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript

Proven experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs

Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling

Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Prior experience in a startup or fast-moving product team is a plusCompensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 (San Francisco senior-level range)
