A Brief Overview
Drive strategic impact across Safelite's iconic brand as a Global Sourcing Sr. Category Buyer to lead category management for corporate services including HR, Marketing, Professional Services, Finance/Banking and Legal. You'll keep a pulse on industry trends and business requirements and consult with the business to identify and deploy best practices in procurement, category management, and supplier management. You'll collaborate with various business groups to ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams, to maximize company value, optimize business stakeholder budget, and mitigate risk. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing long-term procurement strategies and delivers competitive advantage through innovative sourcing and streamlined processes, enabling operational excellence and supporting organizational growth. What you will do
Develop and implement category strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders and leadership to maximize value and minimize cost. Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and business leaders to understand needs, influence change, and integrate procurement into overall strategy
Use industry trends, relevant data analysis, internal spend, requirements and supplier performance data to create strategies that will proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks and service improvements, drive cost savings and optimize opportunities to help our Business meet their goals
Lead the development and execution of sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, including handling of complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations that optimize value to the company
Develop and implement enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, leading complex RFx processes (RFIs/RFPs) for critical goods/services, ensuring alignment with business objectives to ensure consistent supply and long-term value creation
Leverage advanced analytics and procurement technology to drive data-informed sourcing strategies and identify optimization opportunities
Develop effective collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted partner to inform and execute on strategic outcomes
Establish supplier positioning and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including influencing their processes, resource decisions, performance management and policies to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships
Develop collaborative partnerships across Finance, Operations, Privacy and Legal teams and act as the collaborator to bring teams together and influence a solution and optimize contract structures and content
Maintain accurate and complete records, work with various business groups to simplify processes. Contribute to implementation, planning, and change management of process and technology improvement initiatives across Strategic Sourcing
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and manage the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues and non-compliance
Provide regular communication and training on procurement processes and systems to stakeholders and suppliers
Act as procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop and deploy best practice procurement, category management and supplier management

Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Required
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS). Preferred
Experience Qualifications
5+ Years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement for Marketing, Creative Marketing or Agency Operations for a brand/client side or related discipline or HR/Benefits. Required
Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and delivering complex contracts, with negotiation skills in both financial and business matters.
Experience using data analysis leveraging industry trends, relevant data, and internal spend data to create strategies and identify optimization opportunities.
Proven track record of implementing category, strategic sourcing and process improvement initiatives.
History of building and leveraging relationships with business leaders and supplier executives to achieve business goals.
Previous experience driving change, managing conflict, unifying different perspectives, decision-making, securing support, and building consensus to achieve goals
Demonstrated experience exceeding the demands of various internal stakeholders across multiple business units and regions
Experience using varying types of communication to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies to C-level executives
Experience working in a self-directed environment, maintaining a focus on teamwork and interpersonal communication, in ambiguous situations
Leverages financial acumen to demonstrate the total cost of ownership with a product or category
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Experience working in creative marketing or agency and/or supporting the category and strategic sourcing strategy and execution for Marketing and/or HR teams (Preferred)
Experience developing and executing strategic sourcing category plans (Preferred)
Experience working in a high-growth environment (Preferred)
Understanding of various international markets and the experience managing and navigating the complexities of global sourcing strategies (Preferred)
Familiarity with relevant software or technology used in sourcing and procurement with Oracle Fusion knowledge a plus (Preferred)
Certifications or advanced degrees in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field (Preferred)
